Wrexham Council looking to increase EV charging points

Wrexham Council is looking to work with private companies to increase the number of electric vehicle (EV) charging points across the county.

We continue to roll out Electric Vehicle Charging Points (EVCP) across the county borough and we have now installed the first North and Mid Wales 100kw charging station in Chirk.

We’ve also installed more in the town centre including a rapid 50kw charging point which can charge up to 80% in around 30 minutes to an hour alongside two dual use charging points for a longer stay and charge.

These are next to the Guildhall and allow users to charge whilst using the shops and facilities in the town centre.

These charging points are an addition to our network of ten publicly accessible charging points, which are located across the County Borough, from the town centre, county parks to rural locations such as Glyn Ceiriog.
